Most of us don't think about what those patches of clover that pop up in the lawn really mean?
If you have clover popping up dont rip it up. It's good for your lawn and healthier than other grass plants.
It's also a memory of the time when your back or front yard or grass strip by the kerb was part of a meadow or pasture for cows or horses. Think about those pioneering farmers?
Oh and any local bee keepers will be happy since honey bees like clover!
Even though Hornsby is no longer orchards and cow pastures with farmers using the morning trains to send milk closer to the city echoes of their meadows still remain!
